A mother-of-four accused of murdering two men, including her boyfriend who was allegedly found with his penis severed, has appeared in court.

Jasmine Eveleigh is accused of murdering her boyfriend Samir Esbeck, 59, and his friend Sarkis Abboud, 61, at a Brunswick apartment in Melbourne at 5.20am on May 5.

Mr Esbeck, 59, died at the scene with his penis allegedly removed while Mr Abboud, 61, died on his way to hospital.

The 44-year-old was found at a Carlton tram stop later that morning with a substantial amount of blood on her.

During a committal hearing on Monday morning, magistrate Andrew McKenna requested a psychiatric report be prepared prior to her next court date.

It is alleged Ms Eveleigh was living at the Brunswick apartment unit, on the corner of Breese and Hope Streets, with Mr Esbeck.

In the brief court appearance in the Melbourne Magistrates Court, Mr McKenna requested the matter be adjourned until the mental health report had been completed.

The matter will return to to court for a committal mention on September 19.
